Christian Spiritual Ecology
Being outside in nature, being at one with Jesus and God, and finding ourselves.

Our Mission
CSE is about promoting the Christian experience of being at one with God and Jesus while relating to the natural world. The sciences now have proven that there are physical and cognitive benefits in practicing this ecology.

A Lifelong Journey from the Redwoods to Christian Spiritual Ecology
Since I was a child I have been drawn to spending large amounts of time in the natural world. Unknowingly that I was working on research about this ecology, throughout my life this theme of being in nature followed me. As I lived in the Redwoods in Northern California to landscaping in Denver Co. and more recently getting into creating gardens on church grounds to promote pollinator plants.
When I started to attend Seminary my love for the outdoors along with my Christian Calling did not jive with one another in the theology that was presented to me. Much of the eco theology was based on outdated Christian theories like original sin. This resulted in eco theologies that struggled to define in a sense of oneness a spiritual relationship with nature. In my doctoral studies I created CSE so we as Christians have a resource to define from sense of healing and health the human/nature relationship.
